Jake MacAndrew is a multimedia journalist out of Toronto with experience in breaking news, investigative, business, technology and politics. He is the previous head of news, business, technology and production at The Eyeopener. As well, he has contributed to various publications including yorkregion.com, OTR Magazine and Markham Review.

He started out writing for local papers in high school, where his beat centred around main street development and history. In his first semester of journalism school at Toronto Metropolitan University, he was elected as Managing News Editor at The Eyeopener —TMU's largest student publication. During Jake's time at The Eye he was also put in charge of Business & Technology, political video content and later Managing Production Editor.

Aside from his work at publications, he is a wine enthousiast currently pursuing a WSET Level 2 Award in Wines.
